ITINERARY FOR PALACE ON WHEELS IN INDIA
Day 1 - Delhi
Delhi, the capital of India and the second largest metropolis in India with a population of thirteen million is a beautiful blend of the ancient culture and modern technology.
1600 hours : The Palace on wheels starts every Wednesday of the week from Safdarjung railway station, New Delhi at 1745hrs. Reporting time is 1630hrs where a Royal Reception awaits you to board Palace On Wheels maharaja train tour.
1745 hours : The Journey Begins.
2000 hours : Dinner is served on board.
Day 2 - Jaipur
The picturesque capital of Rajasthan, Jaipur is color washed pink-the color associated with hospitality in Rajput culture. The very structure of Jaipur resembles the taste of the Rajputs and the Royal family and the ancient heart of the Pink City still beats in its fairy-tale palaces, rugged fortresses perched on barren hills and broad avenues that dot the entire city.

0830 hours : It's time for sightseeing that includes Hawa mahal, Amber Fort, City palace and Jantar mantar.
1300 hours : Lunch is served at the Rambagh Palace Hotel.

Day 3 - Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer is also called as the Golden city of India because the yellow sand gives a yellowish-golden touch to the city & its surrounding area.
0615 hours : The train arrives at Jaisalmer.
0730 hours : Breakfast is served on board.
0830 hours : It's time for sightseeing that includes Jaisalmer Fort, Patwon ki Haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli and Gadsisar Sagar Tank.

1700 hours : It's time for camel safari amongst sand dunes.
1930 hours : Dinner is served while you enjoy a cultural programme.

Day 4 - Jodhpur
Set at the edge of the Thar Desert, the imperial city of Jodhpur echoes with tales of antiquity in the emptiness of the desert. The graceful palaces, forts and temples strewn throughout the city bring alive the historic grandeur, exquisite handicrafts, folk dances music and the brightly attired people lend a romantic aura to the city.

0830 hours : It's time for sightseeing that includes Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, and Umaid Bhawan Palace.

Day 5 - Ranthambore Tiger Sanctuary, Chittaurgarh Fort
This morning we will visit the Ranthambore National Park, the only dry deciduous tiger habitat in the world and probably the best place in the world to see wild tigers. Later in the afternoon we will visit Chittorgarh Fort which reverberates with history of heroism and sacrifice, which is evident as it echoes with the tales sung by the Bards of Rajasthan.

0700 hours : It's time to visit the Ranthambhore National Park.
1100 hours : The train departs for Chittaurgarh.

Day 6 - Udaipur
The city of Lakes "Udaipur" is a lovely blend of water, lush green hills that set fire and passion in a poet. Its palaces are straight out of a fairy-tale book, lakes, forts, palaces, temples, gardens, mountains and narrow lanes lines withdrawn with stalls, relives the reminisces of a heroic past, valor and chivalry.

Day 7 - Agra, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
In the morning visit Agra, famous as being home to one of the seven wonders of the world-the Taj Mahal. The architectural splendour of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid remainder of the mausoleums, the fort and the palaces is a vivid reminder of the capital in the 16th and early 17th centuries. In the afternoon visit the paradise for the avian world and the pilgrimage for the bird lovers, the Keoladeo Ghana National Park or Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary.
Morning: Visit Taj Mahal, the eternal symbol of love
1300 hours : Lunch is served on board.
Afternoon : Visit the Keoladeo Ghana National Park at Bharatpur, one of the most famous bird sanctuaries.
Night : The train departs for Delhi. Dinner is served on board.
Day 8 - Delhi
0500 hours : The train arrives at Delhi Cantonment Railway Station.
